| A HIKE I hiked in for a half hour or so and found myself on the bank of a river. The water was running swift and cold. It looked dangerous. If anything went wrong, no one would ever know what happened to me. I hesitated but I didn't know when I'd have an opportunity like this again. Some times you have to take a chance. I gingerly waded out into the water and worked my way across. Once on the far side, I hiked down to the beach. The views were spectacular. This was the post card classic Pacific Coast line. ............................- Daniel Bille |
